College of Athens is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) [15935 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551; Telephone: (434) 525-9539; e-mail: info@tracs.org], having been awarded Reaffirmation I of its Accredited Status as a Category III institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on October 22, 2024. This status is effective as of January 1, 2025, and is valid through December 31, 2034. TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (ED), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).

College of Athens voluntarily participates in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) as a means of offering distance education to students within the 49 member states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. NC-SARA provides oversight and coordination for states and institutions that allows easier access for quality distance education for students residing within those states.
