Youth Ministry Director

Madison Baptist Church in Madison, GA is searching for a part-time Youth Ministry Director. Please see job description below for more. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone called to ministry and seeking their first opportunity. Discipleship and Mentorship from the Senior Pastor will be given with the aim of cultivating pastoral skills such as preaching, teaching, counseling, leadership, etc. While this position is part-time, there is room for growth if the ministry grows.

Goals of this ministry area:

  • Incorporate the Gospel message into all small group and bible study situations
  • Create a fun and welcoming environment on the church’s campus for all youth
  • Encourage youth to read their Bible weekly and work towards routine Bible reading
  • Foster an environment of sharing and discussing through Wednesday and Sunday evening small group time
  • Achieve and maintain consistent attendance numbers at all youth ministry activities
  • Engage the youth group when possible in service minded and community (near and far) mission opportunities

Oconee Heights Baptist Church

Worship Pastor

Primary Focus
It will be the responsibility of the Worship Pastor to plan, coordinate, and lead the weekly worship service for Oconee Heights Baptist Church. This role will include coordinating music with members of the Praise Band, interacting with the rest of staff and also coordinating service themes or lessons with the Senior Pastor. The Worship Pastors’ primary focus will be to lead our church into worship, through prayer, music, song and word. They will interact with the Praise Band, Senior Pastor, and leadership to ensure the service flows as smoothly as possible from beginning to end. It is a balanced combination of spiritual leading, musical gifting, and stage presence.

Hours of Work
This is a Part-Time salaried position. The working hours of the Worship Leader shall be coordinated with the Senior Pastor. Hours to be worked include: 9:30 – 12:30 each Sunday and leading in the 11:00 am worship service every Sunday morning, and a scheduled weekly rehearsal time to be coordinated with the band members. Also, they will be expected to attend weekly staff meetings. The number of hours may vary or be adjusted to meet particular needs and/or programs. As indicated in the duties section of this document. The actual daily working hours of the music minister shall be coordinated with and approved by the Senior Pastor.

Young Harris UMC on Prince Avenue in Athens is seeking a part-time worker for our Nursery to join our Staff. The applicant needs to be a Christian, dependable, and love children from infants to 5th grade.This position is for Sunday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. with possible extended hours for Hispanic service and special events during the Holiday Season.

Youth Minister - (P/T)

Principle Function:
The Minister of Youth will give comprehensive leadership and oversight of the youth ministry program (Middle School and High School) of Union Baptist Church.

*Lead the Youth Ministry that supports the overall vision of the church. (You are NOT a lone ranger.)
*Attend weekly staff meetings (if possible)
*Oversee the Sunday School (9:15am)
*Personally lead Wednesday Night Bible Study (6:30pm)
*Plan and lead regular special events to promote ministry growth
*Plan and lead annual events such as camps, retreats, mission trips, etc.
*Recruit and train volunteers for the work of student ministry
*Connect and build relationships with students, parents, and volunteers
*Exercise sound financial practices and stay within the allotted annual budget for student ministry
