November 2nd. Great Commission. Matthew 28:19 (NIV) “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
Dear Heavenly Father, As You have sought us, saved us, and sealed us into Your heavenly family through the
precious blood of Your Son, so also You have called us to now spread Your Gospel. Because of the Good News of Christ’s sacrificial death and triumphant resurrection, we know that darkness will ultimately be extinguished and Your Kingdom will shine forever. A light that is hidden does not serve its purpose, and so with us, Lord. As Christ-followers, we are blessed beyond measure with Your abundant love, mercy, and grace. It is out of the overflow of that love that You have called us to shine Christ’s light into all the world, starting with the people You put into our path this very day. We pray that the College of Athens might always be obedient to Your loving commission; that we might always remember our purpose to encourage and equip our students to fulfill Your calling on their lives. May we all labor together to shine Your light into the world. In Christ’s Precious Name, Amen.
