The Intercultural Studies major focuses on various forms of ministry outside the walls of traditional church in order to bring the Good News of the Gospel to others at their place of need. Graduates who major in Intercultural Studies will be well prepared for mission work, whether in non-profit work, agriculture as ministry, church planting or business as mission.
The Certificate Program with an emphasis in intercultural studies is intended to provide those who already hold specialized interests or degrees with the biblical foundation necessary to integrate a missional focus into the work of their hands. These students might already hold degrees in agriculture, international affairs, non-profit development, or business.

An Associate’s Degree with a major in intercultural studies will provide students with a personal, biblical foundation for life and ministry, general education credits necessary for completing a Bachelor’s Degree (e.g. mathematics, science, humanities) and a foundation for developing their personal leadership skills in a particular aspect of outreach to a community with an eye on sharing Christ.

The purpose of a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Intercultural Studies is to provide a thorough Biblical foundation so that graduates may effectively engage in Christian ministry as leaders and employees of volunteer service agencies and missions organizations. Students completing a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Field Ministry will qualify for ordination and vocational ministry in many denominations and will be prepared for leadership positions related to evangelism and transformative community service.
