Here at the College of Athens our mission is “to equip men and women for Christian life and ministry with a Biblically-centered spiritual and personal foundation so that they might glorify God by passionately fulfilling the great commission of Jesus Christ through worldwide service.”
We are passionate about God and passionate about God’s people. Therefore, we are passionate about God’s mission, namely for God to be glorified and receive the worship he deserves from all the peoples of the earth. We believe CoA is uniquely positioned as a Christian interdenominational college in Athens, GA to train, equip and send out Christian leaders into the harvest field to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a lost and dying world. For this reason it is our desire as fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ to join God in his mission of seeing people from every tribe, tongue and nation come to know, love and worship him. We accomplish this by co-laboring with Christ across the globe to equip and raise up Christian leaders grounded in God’s Word and empowered by His Holy Spirit who will in turn perpetuate the making of new disciple-makers.
So what are we doing to accomplish this right now?
It is our joy to work alongside like-minded mission, mobilization and sending organizations to equip, train and send out leaders so that Jesus would be known, loved and worshiped among all the peoples of the earth. Listed below are our ministry partners that we co-labor with for the spread of the gospel and the furthering of God’s kingdom both here and abroad.
