I was raised in the Lowcountry of South Carolina and still consider that home, but I have been in Northeast Georgia for the last 29 years. I graduated from Emmanuel College with my B.A. in Psychology and went straight to graduate school at Georgia State and Richmont University. I received an M.S. in Professional Counseling and a diploma in Christian Counseling. Finally, I received my Ed.D. from Liberty University in Educational Leadership.
During all of that time, I married my college sweetheart and we have been doing ministry together for the last 23 years. Stephanie is a third-grade teacher and has been in the public school system for 25 years. We have a son Will, who is almost 17 and is the highlight of our days. Also, we have been in the foster care system for the last 5 years and have experienced ministry from that unique perspective.
I am currently the Associate Athletic Director at Emmanuel College and teach in the school of Psychology and Foundational Studies. In my free time I love college football, hunting and camping with my family.
