November 27th. Rest in the Land. Joshua 1:13 (NIV) “Remember the command that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you after he said, ‘The Lord your God will give you rest by giving you this land.’”
Dear Lord, we thank you for our portion of land in the kingdom of God You have given us here at the College of Athens. The hearts and minds of our students are like fertile soil in which you want to grow fruit to feed a lost and dying world your truth. As we grow, expand, and quite literally take possession of the land we have, we thank you for the promise of rest. May Your promised rest permeate our endeavors, bringing not just a physical pause but a deep and abiding tranquility. In the academic endeavors, may Your peace be a stabilizing force for students, faculty, and staff of CoA. We may experience your rest in its fullest sense—rest that flows from knowing You are in control. In Jesus’ name, Amen
