Dear Lord, today we pray for the College of Athens community, and specifically the ways in which everything
we do reflects back on you. As a Christian institution, we carry Your very name like a banner out into the world. Our mission and values are tied to Your mission and values—the very people and things that stir Your heart. Help us to remember that even as we provide academic and theological instruction that engages and equips the minds of our students and those in our community, that we are also tasked with engaging and equipping the hearts and hands of all those whom we reach. Help us to remember that our actions have consequences, and that the world will know us by the fruit that we produce. Lord, enable each of us to provide fruit that is honoring to You and respectful and loving to our neighbors. Let our cups overflow with Your goodness, mercy, and grace, and allow us to pour that overflow out in blessing to others. Defend us, disciple us, and direct us! In Christ’s Name, Amen.
